And this is pretty much where it all really began and ended.

This was set to be the biggest little KittyBoo Record ever, but I made the horrible-never-let-myself-forget-it mistake of not going through a regular promotor as I did for the wildly-successful BG/TC record. I found out there's a lot more to promoting a record than sending out a hundred or so promo copies to everyone you can think of (even printing up and including this nifty little info packet!) and calling them to see if they've listened. I even got bitched out by some snothead at Spin for calling and asking, and then in the next issue the "last page" was a huge full-page J.otto illustration. Uhhhh, what's that all about?!

Anyway, I did get some rad local press from Dallas Observer, coverspace even, but nothing really brought the throngs of rabid fans to my door. Is this one of those sad "tried to get too big too soon" stories?

The 7" just was caught in some sort of purgatory between genres -- "too arty for the indie kids, too indie for the arty kids" was what I used to choke out between sobs.

But regardless, I've still got a ton of these left, and you know you want one, I mean really, you do. Just e-mail and we'll work it out. Also, J.otto has had a lot of success selling these at book signings through his online shop. You can even use a credit card.
